Q: Why The Old Florida House?
A: We offer 1500 sq feet of a beautiful but neutral space for you to come in and make your own. Our space acts as a blank canvas for you to create your ideal event exactly the way you envision it. We offer a unique DIY experience allowing you the freedom to bring your own food, drinks, decor and more. We encourage you to be creative with our space and provide you the flexibility to do so! We offer a variety of in house rentals to make your event even more memorable. Check-in and check-out is a breeze with a coded entry system.
Q: What is the max capacity of the event venue?
A: We can accommodate up to 60 guests seated. If you have more than 60 guests, please reach out for more info!
Q: What is the minimum rental time?
A: 2 hour minimum on weekdays (Mon - Thurs) and 3 hour minimum on weekends (Fri - Sun)

Q: What are your hours?
A: Our venue is available from 9am-10pm, Monday through Sunday. It is important to note that events ending at 10pm must be checked out by that time. Kindly consider setup and breakdown when selecting your preferred time slot. Please note that some hours can be extended for special events or holidays.
Q: Can I bring my own food and drinks?
A: Yes. We welcome you to bring your own everything when it comes to food and drinks! We do have a kitchenette for light food prep & we also have a list of preferred vendors that would love to cater your next event. Please note that you are responsible for your own vendor arrangements and fitting them in your allotted time.
Q: How do I secure my date?
A: Once you sign your contract and we receive your reservation deposit, your date will be secured. The deposit is refundable 2-3 business days after your event as long as all items on the cleaning checklist are complete and there are no damages to the venue.
Q: Can I get early access to set-up for my event?
A: Set-up and clean-up should be done within the allotted time frame. Please take note of this when coordinating with vendors, caterers, etc.
Q: Can I bring my own vendors?
A: Yes! You are welcome to use any vendors you’d like. However, we do have a list of preferred vendors if you would like to check them out.
Q: Do you have a full kitchen?
A: The Old Florida House has a kitchenette that offers a prep and serving area complete with refrigerator (with freezer), sink, and microwave. While we can accommodate some light food prep; we highly recommend that you bring your food (or catered food) ready to serve and dishes that are disposable or washable off-site.
Q: What type of events are held at The Old Florida House?
A: We are a flex-space and event venue that caters to a variety of private events such as birthday parties, retirement parties, anniversary parties, engagement parties, bridal showers, baby showers, wedding reception ,baby reveal, office party, and holiday parties. We also love partnering with local businesses to host workshops & seminars. We welcome corporate and business events for off-site events and photography shoots.

Q: Where do we park and will there be enough parking?
A: There is street parking directly in front of the building on Florida Ave and just a half block north of the building is a large public parking lot at the corner of Florida Ave and Stone St.
Q: No-No’s
A: While we love celebration, we also want everyone to be safe & keep things nice for the next guest. We ask that you follow these rules & no-no’s during your event:

Please do not hang anything on the ceilings or lights

Candles must be contained or enclosed in glass (birthday candles and sterno candles used for solely for food warming are acceptable)

No Cooking or Deep fryers

No Confetti, silly string, glitter, or water balloons

No Sparklers or Fireworks

No Nails, screws, or staples on walls

No Animals (with the exception of registered service animals)
